Two phase flow has numerous industrial applications and some of them are related to transport of fluids, such as natural gas transportation. In which the pipe is not always horizontal and tends to be at upward or downward orientations. In the past decades, investigations have been conducted mostly in horizontal, vertical and upward flow. However, very little information is available for downward flows. An experimental setup was designed and constructed for the purpose of investigating heat transfer, pressure drop and void fraction for upward and downward flow.
