The purpose of the Ocean County Wellhead Protection Demonstration Project is to delineate wellhead protection zones around typical public supply wells in Ocean County, NJ. Four public water supply wells and one public water supply wellfield were chosen as study area wells for this project. This demonstration project provides information to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Energy (NJDEPE) and Ocean County regarding the effect of New Jersey's Wellhead Protection Program (WHPP) Plan
