This study examined the relationship between acculturation stress and allostatic load, and the effect of social support on this relationship among first- and second-generation immigrant college students. Rationale: Research suggests acculturation stress may be a contributing factor to chronic health problems such as obesity, hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
