Mighty Mother Nature: a children's guide to weather safety

This project is made in an attempt to increase weather safety awareness. It begins with a short narration of the lack of weather safety education provided for kids. (16 p.) It provides an overview of a children’s book written to tackle this issue by providing children ages 8-11 with the safety tips they would need in case of a severe weather event. In addition, the children's book (33 p.) includes related definitions with fun and interesting facts about each weather phenomena, along with its link to climate change. The video showcases some of the pages of the book while demonstrating some of the safety procedures that should be acted upon for each weather event.Spring 201
