Stakeholder engagement report: Environmental justice

The New Jersey Climate Adaptation Alliance (NJCAA) is involved in development of a set of state and local public policy recommendations to enhance climate change preparedness and capacity in New Jersey. The NJCAA has solicited input from stakeholders in the environmental justice (EJ) residential communities. This report is based on a series of meetings and surveys that involved individuals residing in EJ communities and representatives of organizations that work with these communities.The discussion focused on the difficulties faced by EJ communities in New Jersey during and after Hurricane Sandy and how they should be addressed, identifying climate change-related impacts that will significantly affect EJ communities and how they should be addressed, and climate change mitigation.New Jersey Climate Adaptation Alliance (NJCAA). 2014.
