Soil survey of Cumberland County, New Jersey

This soil survey produced data about the kinds of soil present in Cumberland County, located in southern New Jersey. The survey updates the 1978 county soil survey. The information in this report is intended to identify soil properties that are used in making various land use or land treatment decisions. This research enabled the scientists to create a detailed soil map, classify the soil series, describe the major soil features and properties, and discuss usage and management.
