The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) initiated a renewed ambient lake monitoring network in 2005. This renewed initiative was undertaken by Water Monitoring & Standards' (WM&S) Bureau of Freshwater & Biological Monitoring (BFBM). Data is collected to evaluate trophic state of selected lakes and assess the ecological health of the States' lentic water resources. Forty lakes per year are monitored, designated as a panel. This report presents the results of water quality monitoring within Panel 1 sampled in 2005.Purpose: To detail the results of analyses of samples in 2005 of 40 Panel 1 lakes
