This project is designed to review and summarize existing information on the effectiveness of various treatment technologies for removing unregulated organic compounds (UOCs) and to identify the best available technologies for removing the organic chemicals found in NJ drinking waters. This report specifically addresses organic chemicals detected in ground waters in the State. It should be noted that the scope of this study does not include disinfection by-products or the common volatile organic chemicals that have been detected in ground waters.
