Special Report 25: Availability of Groundwater in Morris County, New Jersey

Special Report 25 of the State of New Jersey Department of Conservation and Economic Development, Division of Water Policy and Supply evaluates the relative importance of the aquifers of Morris County as to their present use and suitability for future development. The purpose of the Morris County study, part of a statewide program, is to assemble the available data on the geologic and hydrologic factors relating to the occurrence, movement, availability, and chemical quality of ground water in New Jersey; to evaluate and interpret the data; and to make the results of the investigation available to the public. The report indicates the probable magnitude of groundwater supplies that can be developed in each part of the county and areas where more detailed exploration is suggested. It concludes that water quality is generally acceptable for most uses with little or no treatment except for hardness that ranges from soft to very hard.Special Report 25Purpose: To report on the relative importance of the aquifers of Morris County as to their present use and suitability for future development
