Black and white photo postcard. Located at George and Bayard Streets, the church was erected in 1837 of classic Greek architecture with a Doric portice, supported by two columns. In 1964, the Livingston Avenue Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church were merged to form the First Baptist Church of New Brunswick on Hale Street and Livingston Avenue. The church property shown in the postcard was sold $170,000 to erect a building housing the W. T. Grant Company store, which was completed in August 1939
