The impact of storage of potable water in open reservoirs was assessed by examination of inlet and effluent water samples of six open finished water reservoirs from four New Jersey utilities for Giardia cysts, Cryptospordium oocysts, total and fecal coliforms, bateriophage, heterotrophic plate count (HPC) bacteria, turbidity, particle counts chlorine residuals and other water quality parameters. Ten sets were collected over a 12 month periods from October, 1994 to October 1995.
