This project report has developed preliminary designs of sanitary sewerage facilities necessary to convey and treat the sewage flows from the Township of Pequannock, the Borough of Lincoln Park, and the Borough of Fairfield. The study attempts to determine the collection and treatment facilities necessary to develop a sanitary sewerage system covering these locations as well as the adjacent communities. The sewage treatment plant would be located in the southeasterly section of Lincoln Park near the confluence of the Pompton and Passaic Rivers. The plant site is adjacent to existing residential areas and the site is located in an area subject to frequent floodings.
