In this "I remember" memoir, Edward Kimmel recalls his childhood time at Seabrook, where his father worked as a timekeeper. He remembers playing on the farm equipment and in the fields. He also remembers German prisoners of war giving him candy. He learned a few German words then, and has been studying the German language ever since. The Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center has been soliciting current and past residents of Seabrook Farms for an "I remember" project. Residents are asked to create narratives regarding their experiences at Seabrook Farms. These memories help preserve the history and multi-cultural heritage of Seabrook Farms
