Township of Scotch Plains Open Space Inventory

This report identifies all private property which could generate residential major subdivisions, producing four or more new housing units. The report also identifies all publicly owned property within the Township. This report contains three inventories: Inventory I - Developable Private Property in Residential Zones; Inventory II - Public Zone Properties; and Inventory III - Public Properties not Located in the Public Zone. This Open Space Inventory is meant to provide a foundation document which can serve as the basis for a Scotch Plains Open Space Preservation Program.Prepared for the Township Council of Scotch Plains, on the recommendation of the Scotch Plains Environmental Commission, with funding from a matching grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Environmental Services Program.Purpose: To provide the Township with a land management and planning resource and provide a foundation for the Scotch Plains Open Space Preservation Program
