This study outlines New Jersey's plan for disposing of its own low-level radioactive waste. This plan calls for interested communities to volunteer land for a disposal site in their area. This study sets out the steps that an interested community would go through to begin talks with the New Jersey Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility Siting Board. This discussion would be Phase I of a three phase process in getting the facility built. Phase II would be community exploration and consideration. Phase III would be the decision-making step.
