New Jersey Beach Profile Network Annual Report in Shoreline Changes, Fall of 1998 Through Spring of 2000, Monmouth County

The 2000 New Jersey Beach Profile Network report covers 18 months of beach changes along the New Jersey coastline, from the fall of 1998 through the spring of 2000. This section of the report presents observations of the survey sites located in Monmouth County. The data is presented in tables and graphs and descriptions of the locations, historical changes and recently observed changes for each of the sites are included.This research was funded by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Construction and Engineering under the recently enacted Shore Protection legislation authorizing the stable funding of coastal projects (NJ PL 93 Chap 155).Purpose: To document long-term trends in changes in NJ beaches and to to develop statistically meaningful information for State and local coastal zone managers
