Shrink Wrap & Other Materials: Recycle It!

This fact sheet is part of New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium's (NJMSC) extensive education and outreach program to explain the benefits of recycling shrink wrap and other materials to marinas, boaters, municipal officials and county recycling coordinators. Plastic shrink wrap is a popular and cost-effective material used by marinas and boat owners to protect boats and other marine vessels from harsh winter weather conditions, sunshine and other harmful elements. It is, however, considered a serious waste disposal problem as hundreds of tons of shrink wrap are discarded each spring.
