The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Pesticide Control Program (PCP) conducted a Golf Course Pesticide Monitoring program during the six years prior to 2000. The purpose of the study was to monitor the frequency and levels at which pesticide residues are detected in surface water systems of New Jersey golf courses. Residues were sampled weekly by the PCP and the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Ocean County.
