The online information retrieval process is an experience that is influenced by and results in changes of the emotional states of the user. A logical extension in the development of information retrieval systems is an inclusion of emotional components with the aim of optimizing user experience. In order to develop systems capable of recognizing and intelligently responding to human emotions, it is necessary to develop a framework for measuring and analyzing user emotional experiences.
