These "Ocean Wavemakers" work to clean up and protect the waters of the New York Bight (the area of water from Cape May, New Jersey, to Montauk Point, New York, and out to the edge of the outer continental shelf). The groups came together in 1984 to investigate sources, effects, and solutions of ocean pollution.July 200
