Secaucus Junction Area Vision Plan Transit Village Study Fact Sheet

The Secaucus Junction Area Vision Plan Transit Village Study, a collaborative effort between New Jersey Transit, the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission and the Town of Secaucus, was commissioned to develop a vision and plan for the future land use in and around NJ Transit's recently opened Secaucus Junction Station. The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission received many inquiries from interested parties regarding the potential development of properties around the station. Rather than entertaining individual applications, the NJMC believed that it would be prudent to create a plan for the area in the vicinity of the new station so that the land uses would have a synergistic effect not only with the station, but also with current infrastructure and with other uses in the Town of Secaucus.
