Postcard Views of Paterson

The Postcard Views of Paterson is a collection of turn-of-the-20th century postcards, sold to visitors and tourists to the city of Paterson, America's first planned industrial city. They depict the life and times of Paterson from 1905-1918, from leisure activities to heavy industry, as well as views of churches. The neighborhood scenes are extremely rare, and the colorization adds depth at a time when black and white was the standard medium of depicting photographs. The collection fills gaps that are not contained in the Paterson photographic collection, notably West Side and East Side parks
