The article is an attempt to present the phenomenon of the outpouring of the Spirit (described sometimes as “the baptism in the Holy Spirit”) in relation to the sacrament of confirmation. Along with baptism and the Eucharist, confirmation is the sacrament of Christian initiation. The reality of those three sacraments constitutes a particular unity in respect to God’s grace and the subject, namely the person who is endowed with this grace in the Church. Thus, in order to demonstrate thoroughly the perspective of the undertaken theme the references of the outpouring of the Spirit to the sacrament of baptism and the Eucharist have been presented.
