Implementation of sustainable development in Poland and in countries of European Union. The aim of the study is to analyze and assess the implementation of sustainable development in Poland and in the countries of the European Union based on the values of sustainable development indicators, in the analyzed period (2004–2013). The paper consists of two closely related parts, i.e. the theoretical part, which describes the genesis and evolution of sustainable development in the European Union and the empirical part, which presents an analysis of some indicators of sustainable development.
