Art is a natural part of life. It is all around us in the shapes nature creates. Combining the beautiful natural flowing shapes of plants with geometric shapes is a very exciting way to express this art. This thesis presents many examples of the combination of shapes in nature and geometry. Whether it be simply using the shape of the work or using shapes within the piece, geometry plays an important part in my approach to present nature in a new and different way. Although this presentation concentrates on the use of rectangles, square and circles, the possibilities for combining these and other geometric shapes with nature seem limitless
