The purpose of this study is to find out how a selected group of junior and senior high school English teachers and a selected group of student teachers feel about the adequacy of their preparation for teaching composition, grammar, and usage, and to learn specifically what they liked or disliked about their college preparation for teaching these phases of English. In addition, the study explores whether or not teachers use the concepts and approaches learned in college, and if not, what they use instead
