Jez states that he was assigned to work traffic at Commerce and Harwood at approximately 11:00 a. m. and did not return to the City Hall basement prior to the shooting. He states that he met Jack Ruby three years before and had last seen him a month ago at the Carousel Club, but did not see him in or near the City Hall prior to the shooting
