The purpose of this review of literature is to investigate the effectiveness of exercise for injury prevention in different sport populations. As sports become more popular, sport-related injuries are becoming more prevalent. This is concerning because these injuries could negatively affect the athletes later on in life. An injury intervention program’s main purpose is to help individuals better identify risky situations and teach them appropriate ways to fix and correct these problems before the injury even has a chance to occur. These programs usually include enhancing flexibility, strength, and agility.
