The $30,000 scholarship will help defray costs of Woodfork’s pursuit of a Master of Arts in Global Communications at the American University of Paris, France, in 2015. Woodfork was sponsored for the scholarship by the Rotary Club of Rock Hill, which was chartered in 1919, and currently has 105 members.Interestingly, David Bancroft Johnson, the first president of Winthrop, was also the founding president of the Rock Hill club
