The Beasts of Tarzan is the third book in the series relating the tales of Tarzan, Lord Greystoke. It was first published as a serial in All-Story Cavalier magazine in 1914. The novel was first published in book form in 1916. The story begins a year after the events chronicled in the previous book The Return of Tarzan. Tarzan and Jane have a son and are building an estate home in Africa. Upon returning to London for the rainy season, their son is kidnapped by Tarzan\u27s adversaries who have escaped prison.
