This collection consists of booklets containing reminiscences, anecdotes, and recollections of the American Civil War. The collection includes Army Letters of Personne 1861-1865: News from the Front which was issued monthly by Frederick G. De Fontaine in 1897 and published by the War Record Publishing Company of Columbia, South Carolina. Personne was the pen name of de Fontaine who had been a correspondent and had published several newspapers in South Carolina during the war.
