The Winthrop Chapter of the American Association of University Professors was founded in 1958 to ensure the academic freedom for Winthrop faculty members. The collection consists of minutes, correspondence, newspaper clippings, brochures, pamphlets, membership records, and other records related to the local and national organizations.
