Over 5 million Syrian refugees are registered with the United Nations. Nearly half of these are under age 17; many with technical or university training. Language, culture, and acceptance of transfer credits create barriers for a smooth educational transition in the arrival country. In this research, varied educational paths are identified to propose actions for overcoming the barriers faced by Syrian refugees. The on track path allows for a continuation of education with minimal difficulties. In contrast, the disrupted path requires greater intervention such as facilitating language training and creating work-study programs for funding the tuition of refugees
