Obesity, sometimes referred to as the pandemic of the 21st century, has created immense problems in Chilean society. Like many other developed countries, Chile\u27s rates of obesity have risen exponentially in recent decades. This increase in obesity has led to an increase in negative health conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and some cancers. To try and combat the rising prevalence of obesity, Chile\u27s government has enacted a restrictive law aimed at addressing the issue from a multi-faceted perspective. By approaching this public health crisis from multiple angle, Chile\u27s government hopes to reduce current rates of obesity while encouraging healthier habits for future generations
