Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a disorder in which people who suffered from a tragic even and have difficulty recovering after such an event. Veterans that have gone to war and rape victims are a few examples of individuals that experience PTSD. The research that this experiment conducted was to better understand the disorder and find a potential solution. We induced PTSD like symptoms in Sprague Dawley rats using a modified version of the SPS model, then injected them with a D3 antagonist to see if it would decrease their alcohol consumption.
