Abstract

Course syllabus for MGMT 530 International Management Course description: The course studies the practices and problems of international management, with special emphasis this trimester on West Germany. As business activity has expanded beyond national boundaries, firms within individual countries have been forced to develop a variety of organizational and management strategies to succeed within the new global environment with its ever-present risks and potential for conflict. While Germany has borrowed from American experience, its own unique business patterns have also evolved. Differences between American and German management practices will be noted.
