Course syllabus for BIOL 316 Plant Diversity Course description: This course covers the comparative life cycle adaptations found in the plant kingdom. All of the divisions, together with their associated classes and orders are studied in detail. Vegetative morphology of gametophytes and sporophytes, the process of gametogenesis and sporogenesis, propagule dispersal and methods of sexual reproduction are studied. The life cycles of selected genera are illustrated in lecture and discussed in detail
