The purpose of this project was to find the relationship between school divisions and the amount of bacteria in everyday places. The tested locations were 1) water fountain buttons, 2) doorknobs, 3) computer keyboards,4) desks, and 5) bathroom sink faucets. In order to find the amount of bacteria in each place, a cotton swab was swabbed on each location. The contaminated cotton swab was then placed on the petri dish using aseptic technique. Each petri dish already contained agar, that had been made and poured twenty-four hours beforehand.
