Dr. Russ Carter, Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at Governors State University, met Randolph Frieser, president of Accelerated Rehabilitation, more than 20 years ago. Carter was the teacher and Frieser, the student. The two stayed in contact and, on August 24, Frieser established an annual $25,000 scholarship fund for Dr. Carter’s physical therapy students at GSU. The donation creates five scholarships each year for physical therapy students enrolled in Governors State University. Students receiving the scholarships will also gain a mentor from Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, clinical practice opportunities at their centers, and employment with the company upon graduation and licensure
