This project researched the time period and relevant events to the papers of Francis Mairs Huntington-Wilson, Assistant Secretary of State from 1909 to 1913 and part of the U.S. Embassy in Japan in previous years. Myrin Library has several archival boxes of his letters, photographs, newspaper clippings and books that contain insight into U.S. national and international relations. After reading Huntington-Wilson\u27s memoirs and creating a basic timeline, the documents were organized chronologically. The next and largest part of the project is the transcription, creation of metadata, and uploading of the documents onto the Ursinus Digital Commons.
