The 2019 FSAE chassis was constructed in attempts to create a lightweight ridged FSAE vehicle while furthering our FSAE club\u27s knowledge of composites. The basic structure of the car follows a typical 1020 mild steel tube chassis design as laid out by the FSAE rules. To maintain a sub 75 lb frame weight while maintaining a torsional rigidity of 700 Lb-ft/Degree. The development, has taken part over the past 6 months. The first 4 months were spent setting design goals, based on the previous year\u27s competitions to determine what it would take to put a car in the top 25.
