Photograph of a group of eight African-American women and one African-American man. The group of people are seated on a floral-printed semi-circle-shaped couch that faces the camera. The man is sitting in the middle, and there are four women seated on either side of the couch. In front of the group, in the foreground of the image, there is a small circular coffee table with a large fern sitting atop. Directly behind the seated man is a statue of a nude woman that faces the lefthand side of the image. The wall behind the group is made up of dark windows and light blinds that are opened halfway. There is a handwritten note on the front of the photograph that reads, "WASH. D.C. 1945" as well as a stamp on the back of the photograph that reads, "R. McDougall Washington D.C."
