Dissertação de Mestrado em Comunicação SocialThis thesis presents the results of an investigation into the relationship between lifestyles and the media. It is a qualitative research project whose main objective is to identify how individuals perceive advertising messages about healthy eating and exercise. The study was based on the application of an interview with 22 subjects; 11 females and 11 males - Portuguese residents in the region of Lisbon, with qualifications from year 12. The mandatory requirement of this study was that respondents combined regular physical exercise together with a healthy diet.
