In palliative and end-of-life care settings, where patients are often in a critical stage of life, social workers collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide care to patients and families. However, the role of the social worker varies greatly. The proposed program evaluation aims to understand the role of the social worker from the social workers\u27 perspective, exploring how social workers value their role in providing end-of-life care, and what factors may impede or help them in that role. The sample will consist of current case managers, social workers, and palliative care members at OSF Healthcare St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.
