St.)--Indiana University South Bend, 2011.While there have been many studies conducted measuring self-efficacy for special needs learners, African-American students, and second language learners in other countries, few studies have looked at how self-efficacy may affect English Learners in the United States, specifically within Hispanic populations. This paper gives a brief overview of the research on self-efficacy as related to English learning, as well as the details of an attempt at measuring self-efficacy and achievement of Hispanic English language arts students at the high school level.
