This Venetian glass mosaic mural is a work of rhythmic and luminous dynamic profiles in which people and animals celebrate existence in a festive tone. This typical combination of Merida's mature style in which geometry, pre-Columbian and modern imagery serve as a means to express the legendary characters of the multiple cultures and ethnicities of America. This work was commissioned for the 1968 World’s Fair known as HemisFair ’68, held from April to October 1968 in San Antonio.
