The house is surrounded by a big yard with trees and bushes all around. On the bottom right of the picture, "A pretty home in Abilene, Texas" is printed. The photograph was taken around 1910 and circulated as a postcard. The actual home is reputed to have been destroyed in a fire and was never rebuilt
