The aim of her paper is to study the semantics of various classes of verbs introducing subordinate interrogative clauses, and to investigate whether these verbs have common semantic properties (in which case there would be no need for any specific mention in the lexicon of what type of clausal complement a predicate selects). She tries to show that all the verbs introducing interrogative clauses are (partly at least) abstract verbs requiring a complement expressing information (which is represented by the interrogative clause).
