The article validates an Internet-administered version of Adult Learning Disabilities Screening (ALDS), e-ALDS, by comparing 122 adult education participants who completed the ALDS in paper-and-pencil vs. Internet formats. Adults with undiagnosed specific learning disabilities (SLD) often experience under- or unemployment, lack of independent living, low self-esteem, and emotional health problems. Thus, high societal and personal costs of failing to recognize and intervene with adults with SLD have been identified in numerous studies.
