Introduction : The patient has rights, as provided under the Kouchner law of 2002, which recognizes the importance of the patient’s free and informed consent and a duty to provide information. However, lack of consent seems to be a defining attribute in obstetric abuse. The main goal of this study was to determine whether information and consent were obtained by the midwife before performing any type of medical act or care.
